How SMS Consent Works

TechBuddy AI uses a secure double opt-in process to ensure that recipients explicitly consent to receive SMS alerts.

Step 1

A senior user enters a family member’s phone number inside the TechBuddy AI mobile application.

Step 2

The family member receives the following SMS message:

TechBuddy AI: You have been listed as a family contact for support alerts. Reply YES to confirm you want to receive SMS alerts regarding help requests. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.

Step 3

The recipient must reply YES to opt in. No messages are sent unless this confirmation is received.

Step 4

Once consent is confirmed, alerts are sent only when the senior user requests help or when a potential issue (such as scams or fraud) is detected.

Opt-Out

Recipients may reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for assistance at any time.
