The family member receives the following SMS message:
TechBuddy AI: You have been listed as a family contact for support alerts. Reply YES to confirm you want to receive SMS alerts regarding help requests. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.
The recipient must reply YES to opt in. No messages are sent unless this confirmation is received.
Once consent is confirmed, alerts are sent only when the senior user requests help or when a potential issue (such as scams or fraud) is detected.
Recipients may reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for assistance at any time.
